Project Overview
We are committed to revitalizing New York City's Tompkins Square Park by addressing local challenges and fostering community engagement
1. Through the installation of a birding facility and a corresponding social app, we aim to attract visitors, foster interaction with nature, and strengthen community bonds.
2. Complemented by installations within the park and informative posters, our initiative seeks to reintroduce the park as a vibrant and safe space, encouraging broader participation and enhancing the neighborhood's social fabric.
Inspiration: A NYC Pigeon Man
This interview delves into the life of a man dedicated to caring for New York City's pigeons. His interesting conversation and reliance on the interaction of these birds opened my eyes to the potential of human-bird interaction in an urban environment.

Community Engagement:
The Pigeon Man brought people together through his care for pigeons. This inspired me to create a project that encourages residents to connect with each other and the park’s natural environment.
Biodiversity Awareness:
His efforts highlighted the importance of urban wildlife. My project aims to educate the public about local bird species and the significance of biodiversity.
Creating Safe and Inviting Spaces:
The safe haven he created for pigeons inspired me to transform Tompkins Square Park into a welcoming space for both people and birds.
